Demo Day: The start of a new beginning.

There you have it. I feel like an athlete who has spent months preparing for his Olympic race and finally crossed the finish line. I’ve just given my 10 minute presentation on stage at Startupbootcamp’s Demo Day and I feel proud and excited about what is to come next. It’s the end of an amazing roller coaster ride, but also the beginning of a new era in Ukky’s story.

At the start of the program Demo Day felt like this magical day far far away, but it was always there in the back of our minds. Over the last four weeks Pieter-Pleun and I have been working nearly full-time on our presentation. Writing the script, re-writing the script, throwing away the re-write and doing it again. Practicing. Hours and hours of practicing. While riding my racing bike back home, in front of the mirror and with our great pitch coaches David and Fre. Working like madmen to finish slides that presented our story in the most powerful way.

All the hours of effort paid off. It felt great to be on stage and share our vision on the future of storytelling.

During the presentation we announced the opening of our first seed round, which has generated serious interest. To enable smaller investors to invest as well we have reserved some stock and are working with Leapfunder to pool it together in a convertible note.

Ukky, as you know, means “little one”: any investment, no matter how small, gives us the potential to grow. If you’re interested in this opportunity, please feel free to drop me an e-mail. I would love to tell you more about our plans to shape the future of storytelling.
