Week 2: Michel's first coffee
Written by Michel op ‘t Landt
Are Coca Cola, some chips and a slice of pizza all you’re able to eat as a start-up founder? This week it certainly felt like that :). We had a crazy week with late night mentor sessions, intense braintrusts and an inspiring session at the Growth Hackers Amsterdam Meetup.
Since we started this inspiring journey at Startupbootcamp I have woken up every day with a big smile on my face and a lot of energy to turn Ukky into a big success with our great team. It truly is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
As foreseen, this three month bootcamp also has some impact on my family life. I’m not able to read Timo as many bed time stories as I normally do and I’m not always there to wipe the stains of yoghurt out of Jasmijn’s face when she’s practicing with her spoon.
And I’m not alone. There are fathers in the other Startupbootcamp companies that have made even tougher commitments. They have relocated to Amsterdam and have kissed their family goodbye for the full period of the bootcamp.
I think I’m speaking on behalf of all of them that we wouldn’t be able to do this without the love and support of our kids, parents and wifes! Thank you for love and support! Thank you for helping us pursue our dreams!
